Location: SE Wisconsin | I like the "flashy" aspect of these baits and I'm sure they catch fish. What I wonder about is the lack of profile or sillohuette. If it is all flash with rounded edges, will that eliminate the visual profile as it erratically wobbles through the water? If so, will it make a difference in the muskies ability to lock on to it, or will there be a lot of swing and misses?

I used the chrome shallow raiders late fall fishing on the bay. The last 7 fish on my boat were all on the chrome colors. I also had several guides using them and they all caught nice fish on the chromes. I think that the extra flash really helps the muskie locate the bait.

What he tried to do was pick a color that you could not easily trace the outline. He wanted the edges to "blur" somewhat, and not have a crisp outline of the bait. So, that shine making the bait lose some of its profile might be a good thing. I imagine when a silver sided shiner, cisco, etc is flashing through the water, they might not have a sharp silhouette either? Seems like it could work to me! curleytail

You'll be able to purchase the chrome depth raiders & shallow raiders at all major retailers plus Muskie specialty shops like Smokey's, Rollies and Throne Bros. Local shops will also have them. The yshould be out by mid April.
