I'm looking for a bucktail/all purpose rod. I won a St. Croix Premier 7'6" MH rod this past weekend, but all winter I have wanted to get a 8'6" or 9' rod. I am 6'7" inches tall and I think a long rod would probably fit me pretty well. I'm just looking for advice as to whether I should keep the 7'6" rod, or sell it and buy something longer. Thanks in advance.

As I and many have posted, try a okuma 8'6" XH. Great for double 10's, rubber, topwater, etc. For your height it might not be a bad one for jerks either. Lifetime warranty at about $120. A 7'6" isnt bad at all IMO, but if you're able to sell it and have one rod, I would. JUST my opinion.

w/ your height, that would be a nice jerk bait rod!
