Considering we spent our first three days on the water this year last weekend fighting 30+ winds and swells over 2ft and not seeing a thing, I finally hooked one on a sunny, northeast wind today.40" and a 4lb bonus Bass.

muskydeceiver........Matt,

perhaps I should have said "over due"......

According to the Missouri Department of Consevation's fishing prospects...
"Spring 2007 sampling results showed good year class densities remaining from the 1999 and 2000 stockings and 42% of the muskies captured exceeding the 36” minimum length limit."

Perhaps a good year on Pomme de Terre would never match a good year in MN, but some of us in Missouri are hoping the fishing will improve. By your many HAHA's you sound like a fun guy to be around...hahahahaha

Muskie Bob......Bob

I'm not from MN.

What they didn't tell you was that was 3 out of 7 fish they managed to sample.

I actually fished Pomme last weekend for 2 days. Didn't see anything in over 20 hours on the water. Now that could be because I suck, but there were 39 other guys on the water on Saturday who are pretty good sticks and fish that body of water a lot. Total number of fish SEEN......0. We did see a big arc one time though for what it is worth........

I have no problem with Missouri, fish it a couple times of year and have a lot of fun. I also think there are some lakes in that State that are managed well and offer some great potential. Pomme's problem is the lack of weed beds. What some have done to try and get some going is commendable. The thing I don't understand is they keep planting emergent vegetation in a lake where the lake levels have fluctuated significantly over the last few years. The vast majority of this type of vegetation dies once it is submerged. I think if they could get some submergent vegetation established this could be a lake that could live up to it's potential (I want to stress that I have the utmost respect for the people and MI club down there that donate time and money to try and get this lake back. There are some people that are working their butts off for this lake).

Oh, and I think I am an all right guy to be around.......
