Location: Des Moines IA | Is there a Muskie's inc. chapter in the Des Moines area? I'm relocating at the end of the month, just wondering what muskie options I will have, if any. |

Location: Iowa Great Lakes | There is 2 chapters in Iowa, #29 Upper Great Plains in NW Iowa and one at Clear Lake, Heartland Chapter. The Des Moines chapter was dissolved. I'm in UGP's and we are also starting an Iowa Muskie Trail this year. Welcome to Iowa.
Several lake with muskie in the state, 3 Mile, Pleasant Creek, Okoboji's, Spirit, Brushy, Big Creek. Bojis and Spirit hold the best fishing. Need anything else pm me be glad to help. |

Location: Central Iowa | Not much good water right around des moines, Big creek is just north of des moines and they're in there but its not very productive, there's a couple of good sticks that spend a lot of time there because its close but not much action. Most of the muskie guys i know here have resorted to driving a couple hours to the other lakes around the state which are definitely better lakes. |

Like Shaley said, the Upper Great Plains Muskies Inc. Chapter is located in NW IA, but it has members throughout the entire state. We used to have all our tournaments in the IA Great Lakes region but we are starting a tournament trail on lakes throughout the state, so all the muskie anglers can get involved.
