Subject: First Foiled lure Done

After seeing some of friends foiled lures, I was very impressed, so I asked
my friend Mike to show me how it was done, mike got a few tips from John Snow which is a true artist. Well here is my first foiled phantom jerk bait, and a second attempt a wood magic maker in the works. On a drying wheel.

I used foiled tape for heat ducks, you should be able to get it at a hardware store.

Here is the lure all assembled, the finish has a layer with silver and blue Polyflake.
Looking forward to trying it out.

Those look great!!! I like the foil over scale look. Really brings out the light.

Try aluminum foil too. You can imprint it on about anything, then paint it and rub off the high spots with a rag/acetone before the paint drys. Then just cut it to shape and put a light coat of epoxy on your bait and stick it to it. Then finish it up as needed. I used to make some of my foil Grunts this way and it worked out real well.
