The same as every year, overcrowded and beat to death! Still some good fish in there though.

Got a peek at the FWA webcam, pistakee looks open, I bet the water temps are still very chilly. I wouldn't be opposed to searching out some schools of baitfish and casting suspended fish right now though!

It all depends on water temps, I would wait til they are atleast 40 - 42 degrees. Probably be atleast a week.

never too early to try, thats my theory, if you cant stand this cold an hour or 5 hours of casting is better than sitting inside no trying. good luck

Never too eary out there. We've gotten fish just after ice out in 37 degree water. Slide a little deeper outside of spawning areas and the fish will be there.

I'm in Florida right now, but I hope she keeps on opening. The rain forcast for today should help, but let's not have any major flooding this year. Sounds like a soaker today.

Now back to drinking beer on the beach for another 2 days.

south side of pistakee is still pretty much locked up but the weather this week should finish the job.
