| I'm looking for the company that makes the lightest musky rod. I'm talking about how much the blank itself weighs? St.Croix? G-Loomis? I recently held a cortland 7' bucktail rod and it seemed very light too.

Location: Pittsburgh PA | Esox Rods claim to be the lightest strongest on the market .I have two of them and they are the lightest I have used and can notice a difference in comparision to other rods. They are salty though I had recived them for a musky show on tv ,I am by no means trying to sell them to you or have any stake in the company .I am just giving my input and they worked well for me no complants for a usa product I still find myself using them .You can check them out at EsoxRods.com Brent Moorehead is the owner and a nice guy, He could answer the specs your looking for |

Location: midwest | I'm not certain if the esox rods are still using the same blanks but they were built on Diamondback blanks which are the lightest blanks I know of. |

| esox rods i believe where actually built on rainshadow blanks, i'm pretty sure they use all batson components too, i've built alot of rainshadow's both rx7's and rx8's, and have never broke a single one, their super light and very tuff and have a pretty large selection to choose from, rylure |

Location: Sw Pennsylvania | St. croixs are nice rods for the cash, they aren't overly heavy but i wouldn't call them light. American made too! |
