| I'm newly registered to your site but i've been reading it for a long time and love all the info, great site. Here is my situation and question. I just got a 14' v-bottom and I need ideas. I am thinking possibily a casting deck in the front. I have seen past post with some great ideas on how some of you have done some neat things with them. I need to keep it inexpensive because I'm giving it to a kid that works for me. He is just getting into fishing and I would like to work on this project with him since I seem to be the only postive male figure in his life. He is 22 year old that is in need of some guidance and I think that working on this project together will help him focus in a more postive way. With that, I am looking for any ideas that you may have to help us get started, also looking for a 9.9 or 15 hp motor.
Thank you! |

| I customized my last boat using painted plywood, home depot outdoor carpet and some 2 by sixes and l brackets. I later did a rear casting area using aluminum chanel and that was just as easy and lighter. I built a lift up section for storage. It was easy, looked great and fished really well. PM me your email and I will send you pics if u want. |

| Hey rsn, go down 2 post to the one about mounting jon boat seats! On one of the last replies theres a web address about modifying jon boats! its something you wanna see if your redoing a boat! Theres alot of good info on the site! I think if you type in bass-jons and then go to boat mods. you'll find it! hope this helps.

Location: Irvine, KY | Go with aluminum over wood... it doesnt need treating, never needs to be replaced, and its way lighter which can make a big difference in a small boat. Im about finished decking our boat... Ill post pictures sometime next week hopefully.
CANT WAIT to get it on the water! |
