Tell me about these new crank baits. I saw the Youtube video and it sounds like they have rattles. Is it true.

Yes on the rattles! A few little ones and one big clunker. These lures are great IMO (ha ha) but are untested for fish catching ability as I just got them out in winter. I have had them up to 10mph and as deep at 20' with 100' line out. I had to remake the lip molds 3 times as they broke. They are rock solid now! I had a near 50" pike follow in spring of 2008 when I was testing them in Canada but not takers. They go deep fast too when casted out. I know a lot of guys down South have them so I hope they can comment as I am still 20" deep in ice.

Yes, they have rattles. Nice looking baits that I look forward to giving some water time to this year.

I'll have them in the hydrophone footprint video section as soon as I can get some time to get to the pool.

They do have loud rattles. I got a few for Christmas and they are nice baits. The bodies are super strong as can be seen in the you tube video of James pounding in nails with them! The lures really shine IMO when used as twitchers. They simply go wild when you jerk on them! While I have yet to hook a fish on one......I did have a very large follow that was boat shy. I did try trolling them as well. A plastic rod holder would not do the trick if you plan on running these babies at 10mph. It took all of the drag I had plus two thumbs to even get close to 10mph. They did troll to 23' on 100' of line for me. Pick some up as they are definite big fish catchers!

Ya, I could only get to 10mph before I could not hold it any longer. Not that anyone trolls at 10mph for musky. I do think Don (Train Wreck spinnerbait) has some video of a musky follow around that speed though for a long ways though. But anyway, they are good at 2-5mph and not problem. Thanks Aaron, Ryan and Steve! Can't wait for that video.

I picked up a couple and was pleasantly suprised by the rattles in them. I did not know there was that larger 'clacking' rattle in these. I bought them for trolling LOTW and a few other large cisco/whitefish based lakes and IMHO they are the perfect size and profile for fall fishing. Plus that loud clacking rattle will be nice for when I bounce bottom on occassion. The lip appears strong but that will get put to the test next fall!!!

Very nice bait James! Keep up the good work.

James, Which color has the most bright yellow other than the bumble bee? Is it the MS-6?

You would be surprised as to how many people troll up to and over 10 mph for muskies.

Color 19 is an obnoxious yellow.
