Subject: Rusty Hooks


When going threw my muskie box recently I noticed most of the hooks on my baits are all rusty. I have not really had much problem till this winter. I don’t know if i got alot of moister in there or what. Is there anything you guys do to help prevent this? I know it is not that big of a deal, but i am particular when it comes to my baits. I have thought about coating them with oil or grease for storage. I know that is alittle overboard or thought about putting some Silica gel to help with moister. Any ideas?

Location: Hugo, MN		Leave the top open when you store them, at least until they are 100% dry. I don't put wet baits back in the box. No moisture, no rust. The inhibitor stuff works well, too.
