Nice fish, but is this catch in season under N.Y. regulations?

I sent the link to my cousins in NY. I will be there this summer visiting. Not sure if I'll get to muskie fish, but bass and pike of course.

It might be a world record with a tip up and it clearly states that in the story.

great lake to fish if you're given the chance. not overcrowded with homes and no public access -only a marina with only roadside parking so it stays pretty quiet...huushh

been pegged as likely having some beasts, guess its confirmed!

Correct me if I am wrong, but I think the season you define is for northern pike. I think NY classifies tiger muskies--or norlunge as they call them--as muskellunge. Different result.

correct. NYSDEC lumps tigers and pike into the same open season.
