just curious on everyones opinoin. Would you say that on specific lakes when people say they have great success with rattle traps that the krushers would give a similar presentation cosidering the size and shape of them. A few lakes by me people say rattle traps work good and want to know if krushers would be a good idea as an alternative.

I don't have a ton of experience with Rattle traps but I would assume they would run much shallower than a Krusher. So I would guess it would depend on the type of structure that is holding fish. I think rattle traps have a tighter wiggle too. Krusher is a very versitile tool as well.

Well, to me they are very different lures, unless I'm getting Krushers confused. For the most part, the rattle trap thing is an old bass fishing pattern. Pretty simple really, when the water starts warming up on a good sunny day the bass (or muskies) will pull up onto sand flats etc. to take advantage of the warmer water, and they will hit a fast mover like a rattle trap. A lot of bass tournaments have been won this way. It works great when conditions are right, but isn't the "miracle" some "rattle trap salesmen" would have you believe. The Krusher is a deep diving crankbait right? I'm sure you can interchange the two in certain situations, but to me they are totally different despite their shape. Something like a 5" crane bait might be a better comparison.

Krushers dive much deeper than the Rattle Traps. Both have produced trolling in the spring. Try using a Rattle trap under an In-Line board in early spring up in the bays (Shallow Water) of your lake. Tough to use Krushers in shallow water - you'll rake up the bottom (Unless you short-line them).

Krusher-Rattletrap,no comparision.

First off,a Krusher is a floating crankbait that can be worked slow or fast and back out of cover since it's a floater. This bait is good all year long wherever you fish when you need to get to a certain depth to bang brush, weeds, whatever.

Rattletrap-a lipless bait that sinks, puts out a ton of noise and vibration and you can jig it or burn it as fast as you can reel.Great bait in the spring, but once again can be used all year long. Not a good bait in cover,or brush.

Both baits have there time and place, but have put fish in my boat from March till December.
