| Asking owners of the X190. I'm looking forward to getting a new boat and I have looked at all the others and have picked the X190. Not only in price, but in usability. I run a guide service and run the boat from the rear deck. Can 3 clients and myself work out of this boat without having casting problems? I don't cast 75% of the time. I leave that to my clients. But when I can is there a size issue with 4 guys throwing? I know I'm asking after I have made my dission. It's not often I get 3 in the boat but it does happen. Also, I have been using the Motor Guide W75 for the past year now. How does it compare to the Minn Kota Terrova w/ wireless? I like wireless due to not having wires running all over.

| The front deck is like a "dance floor". No issues with 2 guys casting at all. Now, 4 guys casting is almost impossible, there is not enough room for 3 guys in front or 2 guys in back. There is not enough room for 2 guys in the back casting. There really isn't any boat out there that will handle 4 guys casting and be comfortable doing it. |

The boat will work great for three guys casting but four guys I think you'll be pretty crowded. I had four guys in mine last year once and it was fine for having four but not casting musky lures all day. I also think guest is right, there isn't a perfect boat or any boat that can handle four guys casting comfortable IMO. However, the 190 can do what your asking, it'll take some finessing. |

| Thanks guys for your comments. I pretty much fiqured that would be the response. But I wanted to hear it from X-190 owners.
Now....do you guys have any ideas to break the Winter blahs? Other then leaving for a warmer climate and come back in April.lol

| the snowbanks outside work good to keep the beers cold.
the only limitation is the view of the garage rafters isn't quite as good as an evening sunset up north...

Location: Elko - Lake Vermilion | I'll be kicking tires here in the next year. (buying in 2010) and I decided to put Tuffy on my short list.
I really want a Yamaha powerd boat, so can the x190 take a 225-250 two stroke ?
The faster the better...... And can the x190 Tuffy go faster than the equal sized Ranger ? Handling capabilities ?

| the X-190 is rated for 200hp.
i've got an Opti on mine and it runs 63mph fully loaded. with just me and lighter load i've ran 65mph at 5500rpms, which is below the goal max of 5750 listed in the motor's manual; probably good for another mph or so. i might play around with the propping and possibly a jackplate this year as well just for kicks to get it running at max rpms. at a certain point, fast is fast.
i don't know about your Yammies, but properly rigged with a 200hp Merc Opti it'll run with any comparable rig. 
i've been very happy with the handling, it's quick and responsive under power with both the big motor and the kicker. using the electric it holds the line, turning smoothly without coasting over after you let off the power.
and since you'll be spending a bunch of time in one this summer, i guess that'll help... |

Would asking for a Yamaha or any other motor be considered a special order and therefore cost more ?
Whats the next size boat up from the x190, and largest motor to put on it ?

Location: Stevens Point, WI | No, Tuffy does not rig all there boats with Merc's, most just choose to run Merc's. Brett King ran a Tuffy 2060 with a Yamaha 200HPDI last season and was very happy. The 2060 is rated for a 250 but with the 200, he was running mid to low 50's with it.
The closest boat in comparison to an X-190 would be a Ranger 618 but even then it's not really that comparable with a the 190 being a foot longer and having a 200hp rating compared to only a 150 on the 618. The 1890 and 2060 are the next step up, the 1890 has a hp rating of 200 and the 2060 has a hp rating of a 250. Both rigs are much deeper than the 190. The 1890 is comparable to the Ranger 619 and the Tuffy 2060 is comparable to the 620. |
