I have an ancient Bottom Line Sonar Unit that has served me well for a million years.
Does anyone have experience with the 27C unit from Lowrance. I have a short window of opportunity to attain a unit, what are your opinions?

I have similar units. The 28c HD. Only difference is the hard drive. I love them. You may already know, but these higher end units are not plug and play. You have to have a little knowledge about set up, so that you get what you want out of them. If you have a deal somewhere, go for it!

I would also highly recommend this unit. I had two 27's networked on my rig this past season and really liked it. I would definitely say it's worth the money. If you don't have much background with the Lowrance units, it might take a little time to get use to them but if you check out the emulators on the Lowrance website, you can really increase the learning curve in quick order. Any further questions I'd be glad to help.

It is a very good unit I would definitely recommend picking one up if you have the chance.

I also have a lcx 28hd and a 334. If you are going to buy a unit like this you should definetly invest in some instructional videos. Personally I bought the ones from "Doc" Samson. Also, learn to use the emulators on the lowrance website, you can monkey around with them and not screw up the settings on your own units. These re great units but if you don't know how to use them properly or to there full ability then you will never really be happy with them.
