| here's a situation sketch: new body of water, clear and deep, some weeds but not abundant, rocky bottom, sharp drop-offs and rocky bars, a few small islands with a sharp drop-off from 7 feet to 32feet about 15 feet from the shoreline of those islands. No boating traffic. There are some saddles and groups of small islands. A few walls as well.
What would be your plan of attack for this water? I have a couple of days on this water soon (it's in Sweden) so I can vary my approach. The water remains shallow to 8 feet to about 60-100yards from the shoreline then it moves into deeper water that can reach depths of 100+ feet |

| Dude, if there are any dive shops in the area, I'd check there first! They can tell you where they see fish hang out etc. Also local bait shops MAY be helpful...depends on the peeps that run them + their willingness to help.[:sun:] |

| Fish the deep edges, both weeds and rock, using the primary break as a starting point. Big Pike love deep rocks, and love them better with sharp breaks to deeper water on the edges.
Deep points will be good as well. Get the presentation down to the fish if it is sunny, use whatever suits if not.
Good luck! My second preferred big fish are Pike...[:0] |
