| Hi Rob, picked up the PM70MHF from Muskyone last night and promptly gave it a good workout on Tonka yesterday afternoon ( Thanks Treats!!). I like the tip,action, etc. One thing I really wish it had was a longer handle. Whoahh is that short. Is it possible to get a handle put on this rod like the ones on the 7'6" or 8'ers?? I know didly about rod construction, is this even possible at this point or do you have to do it custom from the get go?? Thx much, let me know. |

| You can extend the handle yourself. It's actually easy. If I can do it, anybody can [:p] !
I buy graphite extensions from Golfsmith. They're made for golf clubs, but work just as well on rods. They are tapered graphite. All you do is cut off the butt cap, sand the extension to fit....this is also where I install counterweights...put on some epoxy, shove it in and cover it with cork rings that you can get from Cabelas or any other rod making place. Easy to do and inexpensive. I think that the extensions are 4" long.

Either that or you can use the butt section of a broken rod and make your own extension.
