Well, could be worse!! I could be here at the Mercury Marine National Walleye tournament and NOT be catching any walleyes. We got into the fish pretty good today, but it don't count until tomorrow. Zach is fishing a tournament this weekend on the Mississippi by Lacrosse, so two of the crew are fishing 'eyes' this weekend. Even crazier, Zach is using Jason's boat, as he sold his and his new one is being rigged next week.

Go to www.walleyefirst.com to the message center, then to the Winnebago Walleyes board for the Merc National report this weekend. This is a HUGE event, surrounded by Walleye Weekend in Fond Du Lac, a festival drawing over 30000 folks to Lakeside Park to play and see the weigh in. Pretty cool!!

This is my partner, Bill Koval, with a 19.25 WInnebago Walleye from the batch we caught today.

Thats it!!

I heard Zach stuck a 7.5lb walleye and some more prefishing in my rig....My boat catches Salmon and Walleyes this year...The muskie thing has be slow, but few days on the water this year. I will give her a good work out next week.

Boy...am I getting the honey DO list done.....I will get to fish tons after this. Repaired garage wall, fertilized lawn, mowed lawn, pulled weeds, replanted hostas, made a front yard flower bed, planted new flower bed, planted a flat of marogolds, burned bush, killed more weeds, pruned back bushes, planted a new bush,

Some more bark, and flowers tommarrow, then fishing with Cpainter in the afternoon,, the paint the garage and 3-season on Sunday.

I think that should be worth many days on the water..LOL []

The bite was DEAD for us today, we only stuck one fish. Overall, the bite was inconsistent, but there wer big weights caught by a couple boats. We ran to the upper lakes where we beat them up yesterday, and the fish were there, we just plain didn't get bit.

There's always tomorrow!![]
