I read on another board that okuma may have a 9'3" collapsable coming out? Is there any truth to this? and what action and power would it be? Are there any other new rods coming out?

Thanks,
Alex

I have heard something about them coming out with some XXH versions that have faster tips/actions than their current musky rods do now. I'm looking forward to seeing what those are like. Haven't heard anything about the lengths on them though.

I am very interested in the new Okuma rods as well. I was going to pick up a few of the current rods but I heard new models will be released around July. I don't want to buy some now and then see a more preferable rod available in july.

Good news! I just sold an old un-used GLoomis at the swap....must replace it with Okumas!

I'll let California muskie pass the word for sure. Sounds like they are working on several new rods. A couple that are telescoping in 9'-3" and a 8'-6" XXH. I think they are still in the development and testing stage.
