Mine for 2009:

-travel more! we only live once, and let's pray gas prices stay down. hoping to hit Green Bay a couple times, St. Clair, and get up to the Hideout for some actual new lake EXPLORING (Steve, that doesn't mean a new angle to a rock pile on George).
-force myself to cast a bit when fishing local. i just enjoy trolling so much more when the chances of boating a fish are so slim.
-introduce more people to salmon fishing on the big pond! get dialed in MUCH better into what the silver fishes are doing. another note is to believe that 25-30mph winds are bad no matter what direction they're going and to understand that thick fog isn't so fun!
-lose 22lbs (already down 20, just a few more to go)
-find a USAV team to let this old weak-side hitter/defensive specialist onto!

Yours?

Guide Service Resolutions
Get more people their personal best
Get more people their most in a trip
Keep teaching clients the best way to handle fish
Teach fastest and best pictures of fish
Become a all around teacher to each client so they can pass it on to others they fish with. Every clients that learns all the positves and negatives will share that with everyone they fish with. Learning whats best for the fish is something that is always stressed in my boat. But the experiance must be enjoyable and memorable. Getting pictures is usually part of that so every thing from the net job to the release has to be smooth and easy to reduce out of the water time.

Personal goals
Get out and fish with more friends and MuskieFirst outings
Get out on more trophy waters at prime time
Schedule more than one fishing vactaion a year

fish more with my son
camp more with my son
hunt more with my son
just spend more time with my son this summer.
Fish areas that I have driven by countless times.
Relax and enjoy all of the moments each year, one by one.

Happy New Year to everyone.

- Try and fish as many days and as many hours as I did in the '08 season (hopefully be as successful as I was in the '08 season)
- Try and match or beat '08s average fish length
- Try and actually finish some more of the project details with my boat that I've had on my "list of things to do" for so long now
- Get back to multi-species fishing a bit more in '09
- Panfish more with my daughter and get my son started now that they're getting older (Daughter is 3, son will be 2)

Oh...I forgot a huge one for me:

- I'm dying to get back up to our cabin in Michigan this year. This summer will be 6 years since we've been up there. Who even knows what condition it's in anymore?

Gotta get back up there, check things out, fix whatever needs fixing, then hit the three lakes nearby.

This has been on my list of yearly resolutions every year since...but...since it's not MY cabin per say......it's not really my call if we go back up or not....which...is a bummer. I just have to keep lightin' the fire under those that do have the authority to get us back up there... :keepingfingerscrossed:

Same as every year:
- 50"
- Fish more
- Fish better
- 50"
- Lose weight
- Eat better
- 50"
- Drink less
- Get back in shape
- 50"
- Two weeks at AML instead of just one (one week is NOT enough...)
- Finally get up to the hideout and fish with Steve Worrall
- Did I mention 50"? (actually I don't really care about the 50" thing -- that's not a goal, that's up to the fish. All I can do is fish where they live...)
