Once again I'm up the proverbial creek w/out a paddle![:(] BUT...may try to take little sponge out Sunday afternoon for some "king karp" action as he describes it...nothing like a little top water action w/ the carp boiling on a bobber/french fry combo!

Caught a 37 inch on a Jerko Saturday. Saw 4 other fish, all on gliders, nothing big probably still all males. All the action was in new growth cabbage.

Notta, nothing, zip on the muskies.I did get a few small pike Saturday evening on the Chippewa River.Sunday evening I helped a guy release a 41" on the Eau Claire River.I had to cut the hooks,(which I replaced for the guy),or else it would have been a sad sight.I am soo glad that I ALWAYS carry my hook cutters.Next weekend will be better!Good Luck to all,Paul

Broke the ice on Friday night with a 38" near Hayward. Saw about half dozen more over the weekend but no takers and not much for size.

Got back alive from the Rollie & Helens Tourney in Minocqua. Got our butts handed to us up there. We all had a good time but Greg M and Steve C. looked a little tired at the awards ceremony. Congrats to all who fished and double that to all that caught some. 22 fish caught I believe with 4 teams doubling up. 46" was big fish on Sat. with a 45.5" on Sunday. Nice weather and a fun time. Hope to catch a couple next year.

Friday burned two mid 30's fish on Wingra, snagged one carp and had a follow from a mid 40 inch gar.
Saturday, 15 northern a few large mouth and stopped for a while to catch some slab gills.
Sunday, one northern and one walleye.
Slow slow start this season so far.
Hope everyone is doing better,
Kly
I think I caught Slamr's Curse. Doh!!![:((]

Talk about a change in weather ...

Sat. AM fished in 85 degree sunshine and only raised one small one.

Sun. PM fished in a 40 degree cold front and managed to see three but no takers in the cold weather.

Still patiently waiting to nail the first one of the season (25 hours logged and counting) Frustrating ...

Sat:
Landed one 44"er on a cisco Muskie Treat. Lost 1 on a jackpot and had 4 other blow-ups.

Sun:
Lost 4 on a yellow-belly walleye muskie treat and caught one huge bass with a crappie tail sticking out it's throat.

Looks like it's going to be a good year!

Sun: Sun brought 25 degree drop in temps and working creatures was key. Biggest was 41 with a couple of smaller ones too.

Saturday I went to a wedding, then had to head home Sunday to solve a 'problem' or two. Got out Sunday evening, and lost a good fish trying to photo her in the water. [8)]

Your right Bill....I sucked. 3 for 9 myself. It seemed every time I picked up the screaming rod off the rack..I'll I would feel is two head shakes and then bye bye!

Dont forget I lost that nice bookend to your steelhead in the propwash because you did not extend my Beckman to 20ft. LOL[]
