Looks like I'm a little late for the contest, but still thought I'd share a few pics from this year. Pics include a little bit of everything...sunsets and nature shots, big fish, friends and family...the reasons all of us should be fishing!

It was a great year for fishing, personally putting 40 muskies in the boat (hopefully I'll be able to get out once more). But even more so, a great year for meeting new people thanks to MuskieFirst and Spring Bay Resort on Vermilion.
Thanks to Jerome, I was able to fish in the outing; not to mention catching my personal best with him this fall! Thanks again Jerome...I owe you big time!

Thanks to everyone on here for answering any questions I've had, giving advice on everything involving musky fishing, and especially to MuskieFirst + sponsors for allowing all of us a chance to communicate via the boards.

I hope everyone had as great of a year as I did, and has an even better year in 2009.

-Jake Bucki

I love that last shot, shows just how long something like a 52 really is. My hat is off to you Jake for throwing 2lb'ers! What rod are you using for that?

Great pictures Jake. Looks and sounds like you had an awesome year! Lots of fish, and obviously some giants too!

I would say I had my best year yet also. I am actually just a bit down on numbers from last year, but my average size is way up. Caught a personal best this year too. Dad was in the boat for that one, and was about as excited as I was. Had fun using some different tactics this year, and can't wait to try out everything I learned next year, along with a few more tricks I might pick up before then.

I hope I am not hi-jacking your post if I add a few pictures also. It's funny just to look at how the clothing changes as the season progresses. I found out I need to take a few more nature and sunset pictures.

Geez- how much did that smallie weigh? That thing has a gland problem. Don't find those in the rivers around here.

I don't remember exactly off the top of my head, but I think that one was a hair over 20 inches, and as the picture shows very fat. That lake usually puts a few of those out for us each year. Usually catch a few big ones musky fishing, and can do real well on them if you actually target them. Fat smallies over 18 inches aren't EVERYWHERE out there, but it's not unusual to catch them in the 17-19 in range. The lake is loaded with crayfish, I'm sure that helps.

I could probably guide somebody to those smallies for a few hundred dollars a day, lol.

As the temperature is dropping, thought I would submit a warm summer day with a special reward on Eagle Lake. BG

That is one big ol' snapper! That had to be like a refrigerator coming through the water, shesh.

Did you think you had a monster on when you first hooked that snapper. What'd you do just cut the hooks?
