Yes I agree... sun is on her left side of her face/hair, but its casting a shadow of her body from the right side. Suspect for sure.

Not matter what it is one hell of a nice fish, but I must say if you are going to post a pic. online either use the pic. you took or don't post the pic, especially if your entering it for a contest. It is one nice looking fish and I like the hold she is using looks heavy.

still a nice fish and if they alterd it maybe they will say why. usually to hide background. I don't know why they bother. It won't make me run out and fish that area. Maybe some guys would but I don't think many.

Its still a great fish and I to like how she holding it.

My first observation other than the overall size was that it looks like the top fin in front of the tail seems to be clipped. Possibly a DNR clip from sample netting? Nice fish. Odd shadows.

Hi, this is roses husband, the picture taker. I would like to start out saying that she did catch this fish and successfully released it, unfortunately i only got one picture.
Everything in the picture is real, except around her head. So for our keepsake i had her head altered a little.

Thanks don and musky1969 for your comments.

i just got off the phone with Rose's husband. thanks for calling, George, it was very nice chatting with you!

he related an endearing story about goofing up the timing of the photo, and for the sake of his wife having a better memory of the moment he altered her head in the picture. he did a good thing, that i'm sure the rest of us married guys can relate to...

he's confirmed the picture by emailing me the original, which will not be posted.

great fish Rose!
