Muskie Fishing -> General Discussion -> New Musky Production

Subject: New Musky Production

I was going to wait to unveil this first time event this coming fall but I must remove the doubt at this time. Everytime I stand w/in 5 ft. of a microwave or toaster oven this happens. I plan to produce + film a movie that will bring the musky community from the present into the future practically overnight! The content of the film is still being scripted but I can tell you it will be about the epic saga of the quest for the world record musky + the profound effect it had on the people, community + naysayers involved. This 3 hr. feature length film will contain a cast of thousands, both people + literal bait throws. The biggest names in the world of musky fishing will brighten the big screen + draw record crowds to the box office. The picture will be filmed on locations not yet disclosed but will be disclosed providing they aren''t closed. My family says it can''t done....I say it CAN!!! Those who read this + scoff, to you I say "Scoff on dudes, pizza is on me"! Like Thomas Edison, this bright idea will not go out therefore let''s get on w/ it. I need to know who can show up next month for screen tests, makeovers + a physical(+ not from me either!). Also a title would be nice as the last movie I made was a flop! People would say "heard there''s a great new movie out"! "What''s the name of it?" "I don''t know" they''d reply so nobody ended up coming, therefore I need your help in an effort to title this. It will cover the entire sphere of emotions + should prove to be multi-fauceted entertainment for the whole family making it a smash hit(again no pun intended).
NAME THIS MOVIE! [:sun:]

*** Screwed up!! Should have used this for the MEGA CONTEST this fall....

Sponge, I do want to audition for your movie. Is there any way I can do it from afar? Will there be any tryouts/filming near me? I hope you don’t plan on doing all the filming in the south. I fear you may not be capturing the true “heart” of musky fishing – the “North Woods”

ALL + I mean ALL filming + casting(both kinds) will be done in the North Woods neck of the woods + on LAKES! My greatest fear of filming in the south on a river is that some of the people featured in the movie "Deliverance" might take advantage of some of you "up north folk" + attempt to do a sequel of the aforementioned film. I should have never taken part in that movie but I was a very young + talented banjo player + loved sitting on porches playing for visitors! Anyway w/ that behind us let me assure you that all on this board will be considered autocast + no need for auditions! Even though the filming will be done over a period of months + cover various types of weather conditions,no nudity, profanity, or head bashing will take place. A vast amount of "Oh daggone dude" or "Mother of Pearl" will pepper the screen though making it palatable for young + old alike! There will be tense moments throughout + drowning by fish will prevail along w/ some limb loss but for the most part violence will be kept to a minimum. The idea is to kick Disney + Mike Asner back into the stone age, not create a sportsmans cornacopia of flesh baring intrigue. I am risking everything on this people; my reputation as a up + coming filmster, my families future + most of all my chances to come up there + fish sometime! Thank you for your support.[:sun:]

Sponge, you've got to work on being more spontaneous, free spirited, and creative!
My suggestion for the title is "The Old Man and The Sea-The Freshwater Sequel". Anthony Quinn won't be able to star in this epic movie, he couldn't deal with the terror of the deep, the monster muskie anyway if he was still alive.
I would like to volunteer for the night scenes, because I have a face and body which is made for radio! Darkness is my friend! It keeps the kids and ladies from having nightmares! LOL!

Sponge, if all’s your looking for is a free trip up North; you just needed to ask. There’s always room for a banjo player in the cabin (what I call my trailer).[]

Ya, I'll serve as a location scout too. Bring the grits and those hot sausages. You'd probably be best off to spend a season exploring Muskie country! Location is crucial to any film.

Sponge, I see what you are doing, you sly dog! You have the premise of producing a movie on muskie fishing up-north, but what you are doing is coming here to buy two Tuffy Esox
Magnums, one for the movie stunts and one for the camera boat (and eventually for you). You get to fish muskies,
party, have two boats and write the entire operation off on taxes 100%!! You, as always, are amazing!!!

Jeff, I''ve got 34 cases of disposable cameras I''ll send to you to start production. We will have them made into slides then into film or whatever you do w/ them! Steve, ready the boats as fall will be here before you know it! I''m sending out scripts to Doug Johnson + the other high profile musky pros along w/ a contract to sign. If they decline then we''ll have to have a talent search + find some look-a-likes. Also need a few stunt men to get eaten + run over by jet skiers/pleasure boaters. Speaking of eating there will be a siesta every 2 hrs. w/ a wide array of various foods w/ hot sauce. Larry Ramsell has agreed to nararate(SP) the beginning of this blockbuster. This movie is not just about a world record; it promises to show mans ability to survive several battles w/ a fish of GIGANTIC proportions![:sun:]

I think we will all have an Oscar[:p]

I can't sleep, I'm so excited! Maybe I can get some plastic surgery in time to be in the movie!

I want nothing to do w/ HOLLYWOOD! Fishing instead of the cocktail party.....I performed plastic surgery recently myself; Had to glue part of little Sponges'' Mr. Potato Head back together but haven''t tried people yet. As to the last response I''m not touching that one![;)] [:sun:]
* Like John MD put it..."We don''t swim there anymore!"

I’ll volunteer to run over some jet skiers. I have a dirty mop top out in the shop, if I put that on along with some shades and a hat. I could pass for Pete. [] I even have the Pete hold/pose down too.[:sun:]

A truthful title for anyone who would partake in a film with this sort of premise would have to be:
"One Flew Over The Loons Nest", keeping the northwoods in mind. Jack Nicholson would be confined in a wooden rowboat with the ghost of Louie Spray haunting him until he snaps and goes on a pike killing rampage.[]

LoL NWR! I''m happy to let most of them vanish.... the sooner the better! So many times I post + then go sheeeezzzz dummy, why did you do that? Must be in my blood....I''ve tried over the years to be halfway serious but it ain''t gonna happen! anyway be thinking up some questions for the first ever fall MEGA CONTEST.....I''m going to offer some "tongue shredding" food stuff as part of the major prizec + hopefully someone will donate a 115hp 4 stroke to go along too![:sun:]
** We''ll be looking for some literary help from you this fall Todd! Like the idea of the Loons nest! Didn''t realize there was 2 pages on this thing + couldn''t figure out where my post went ''til just now[:0] [:0] [:0] .....[:sun:]
