I have been hearing good things about the OKuma Induron reel. How does it hold up after extended use with double tens and ripping big cranks. What about the new Okuma Red Isis reel, is it dependable and worth the extra money. Do either of these Okuma reels have line out alrms?

The 400 has treated me very well. Durability has been good, and when I did have a problem, customer service was excellent. There's a clicker on that reel, but it isn't really loud.

Also good luck here with the Induron, 1 minor problem but customer service was top notch.

I agree. My Indurons have held up well to double 10's and ripping big plastic all summer. Both reels had the same, minor problem, and Mark (California Musky) that visits this site was more than helpful. If you have a problem with an Okuma product, they will take care of you.

Im wondering, are all these "minor problems" the same "minor problems"?

Yep, there is a post up somewhere on here about it right now. Mark is saying they pretty much have the issue taken care of. By the way, the "minor problem" isn't something that makes the reel unfishable. It isn't much of a problem, it just made me alter my technique a little. If another brand had the same "minor problem," and the company ignored it, I wouldn't have 5 minutes for that company. But, with the way Okuma is treating me, and how hard they are working to fix it, I will continue to support them.

sounds like a winner then. I was only wondering cause a buddy of mine was looking into getting a few and if I like it I might see about getting one myself... didnt want to run into any suprises. But from what everyone's saying it sounds like theyre taking care of people so it really doesnt matter what the issue is. Thanks.
