Has envirotex changed there formula? The reason I ask is that I bought a new package a few months ago, and the lures I covered it with don't seem near as bomb-proof as the last batch. Same procedure used as before. I originally thought maybe I messed up the ratio on one batch, but it seems they are all the same. Anyone else experiencing this?

Yes it seems to be a bit thinner. Could be your room is too warm. I had to cool the room down below 60 degrees to keep it thick. Kingfisher

I also noticed that the darker of the 2 liquids isn't nearly as dark any more.

i have that only with the ""quick dry"" version from envirotex.

the normal version is better then the quick dry version, the resin from the quick dry version is crystalizing with a view weeks, and then is the envirotex not strong and the dry time is very longer then.

deffently not ""pike proof"" then!!

Mine is not quick dry either. I painted a bait for a friend, and he brought it back to me yesterday with a nice musky tooth stuck into the side of it. No fish to show for it though. I am also noticing that the hooks on crankbaits are rubbing through alot faster with this batch. Maybe I will write this one off and try another pack.

My old e-tex bottles (from last year) gave me soft and crappy finnish. Could make marks with my nails. Thought it had something to do with humidty while drying. Got a new set, and it seems alot harder, but brittle. One of my lures cracked when my 10 month old slammed it in the floor....

Anyone thought of talking to Envirotex instead of guessing?

Hey Chico, do you always have to spoil the fun? Good luck with new deal. Duff
