| I forced Steve Worrall to use his 8'rod all day on the second day of are trip. After he gave the iron to a 40" muskie with that rod, he was sold. All he could do is comment on how well and quick it stuck the fish and handled it once it was on. On day three, I never saw him pick up anything else but his eight footer. He was a jerkbait machine with that rod and ever pike that wacked his Undertaker did not have a good day.
I have been sold on eight footers for the last two years, what kind experance have you all had with them? |

| I''m with Jason on the 8 footers, It is easy to do a deep figure 8, the hook set is sure and quick and during the battle an 8 footer is more forgiving if you make a mistake.
The only thing I don''t like about them is that there are not too many boats with rod lockers long enough for them

Jason,
I hear ya! My only exception is working bit WOOD, 10" Suick, big Bob, the 6'9" is still hard to beat. Heard you had a good trip.

| I love thw 8's also. But for heavier stuff like Cobbs, 10" Suicks, and even Reef Hawgs, I drop all the way down to 7-6. Another thing that I can`t do without anymore is a rod-balancer. Long rods, counter-weighting, it don`t get any better. Beaver |

| Forced is the correct term, wrenched my arm with captain morgan as reinforcement.
Aurora did a great job on the stick. I will rarely fish with another rod again! The biggest surpise was the way I could walk an Undertaker or Squirko across the top, in heavy cover, and then pop it down and walk it to the boat. [:sun:] |

| They make smaller rods?
I love my 8'! |

| Steve,
Keven Nash told me rum makes him crazy, but he had no problem taking the rest of my bottle and your Aurora rod for the next week. Lucky dude, he gets two weeks on the Goon, must be nice to be self employed.
With that kind of enforcement he should be using 8 footers on a daily basis. |
