Anyone have an in on an older marauder or rampage, even a bass about? I'm looking for something in the 15-17 range,, low decks, and little free-board. I"m going to use it to put in on lakes here in NE, and a few SD waters, possibly some of the smaller WI waters I fish.
I want a smaller boat, because it will be mainly me, prefer a tiller. Wouldn't be opposed to a tin boat, either. I've got previous ownership experience with Tuffy boats and want the same reliability. Ultimately, the boat that I would love to find is a Rampage150 with a 50 horse on it. I could build the rear deck, if need, but not a REAL issue, I can figure that out when I get to it.
If you guys have any resources other than what I've looked at...most of the major online boards, and want adds, shoot me a PM. This will be a second boat...puddle jumper rig, but something that can handle a bit more water than...say...a water spider or some such thing.
Appreciate the help in advance.

Call Bob at Mr. marine in Fond Du Lac, WI. He has an old Marauder in pretty good shape.

Steve, the boat at Mr Marine sounds like it might work JUST right, and the kicker is the price is right, too. The bad thing is I have to find an outboard, now, if I decide to go that route.
Would it be worth it to throw a 40ish 4 stroke on that boat, or would it be too heavy? I know it had a 50 2str on it before they took it off.

I found my rampage on craigslist- Minneapolis. I checked Madison, Milwaukee and Minneapolis along with my town-Chicago. It took a few months to find the right boat. I also googled Tuffy for sale and had a Lyros (best) search for tuffy.I bookmarked it and everytime I clicked on to it, it had most of the tuffys that were for sale on a page. There are alot of older boat for sale that have been for sale all year. Get a phone # and make a reasonable offer and you will get a good bargain- especally for a rebuild. If they have been trying to sell boat for last 5 months- explain to them its probably because their price is way to High. Good Luck
