| Walleyes- 25,630
Muskies- 221
Although I question these numbers, the Tribes announced their harvest on a lake by lake basis. On Lake Little John in Vilas Co according to their report their totals showed 0 spearers, 0 walleyes, 0 muskies. Now that's strange due to the fact that prior to our opener I personaly SEEN two boats on the lake while pan-fishing spearing the lake, oh well, what can be done, most likly NOTHING.
The walleye spearing is done, BUT the muskies are still being targeted. The 221 figure is of last Wed, the complete totals for muskie will be released once there done.[:(] |

| Was in a tackle shop in the minoqua area and some native americans came in to buy some very large treble hooks. All I heard was something about using them for snagging.[:knockout:] |

| Are these totals up or down from last year, Chuck?[:blackeye:] |

| Hey Steve, The totals are very close to last years but below what they have taken in the past. I believe that are spring weather has played the deciding factor for the past two seasons and not the fish population, I believe that our populations are as good if not better than (for muskies anyway)it was when you and I didn't have gray hair LOL. Pelican, Trout, Big St and Tomahawk got the worst of it.[:blackeye:] |
