| Just wondering if anyone has been plying the MN waters of Manntrap lately or its lesser known cousin Bell Taine to the south of it. Was thinking of hitting those two this next weekend when over thata way. Clear, Bloom, forage?? Thanks much in advance! |

| I've been vacationing on Belle Taine for almost 15 yrs and have never seen a ski. I know they were there 50 yrs ago, and maybe an occasional stray from higher up the chain ends up there every now and then, but certainly not a fishable population anymore. |

Location: St. Cloud, Mn | Very, very few muskies present in Belle Taine, I haven't heard of one in many years.
Mantrap will have clear water for you. I was supposed to get there this week but my truck was in the shop. |

| I camped up on belle taine about 3 weeks ago and went to mantrap twice with nothing to show. We saw alot of fish most of them where in the west arm or in home bay. When it came to fishing Belle taine we where very successful in catching some monster bass. I would highly recomend trying to catch some with the dunwright lifelike 8in pike the bass seem to love it! Just make sure you have a leader on because there alot of pike on bell. OH and we did end up catching one musky on Bell taine but it was only about 20in.

| Are you sure the 20" you caught on Belle Taine was a ski? Belle Taine has "silver pike" which is a genetic mutation fairly unique to this lake. |

| My Grandparents live on Belle Taine. I've had a few follows over the years while bass fishing, but never caught one there. I've seen a couple photos of fish caught there by neighbors and such, in the past, but all have been incidental. It is possible, but I wouldn't recommend anyone going there and expecting to see or catch a muskie. Plenty of pike and bass though.
