If anyone has a few extra moments in their day, I would really appreciate it if you could toss in an extra prayer for my uncles. They were the passengers on the plane that crashed in Vilas county last night. I will be flying in to Milwaukee from Colorado this evening to be with the family. I'm still in complete and utter shock and really don't even know if its hit me or not. We have one of the closest extended families I've ever seen so we'll help each other get through this. Just please keep everyone in your thoughts and prayers because we could sure use them. Thanks everyone.

Eric

Selfishly, there is never a good time to loose loved ones.
It is a test of faith. They are in a better place.
They are not gone.....just keep the memories of all the good times fresh.
Our prayers are with you and their loved ones......
Enjoy everyday to its fullest just for this reason.

Have there been any details released? All that has made Milwaukee media was that there were 3 guys and the crash was a half mile from the airport.

it happened yesterday at around 7pm. the weather here was not good and there was a really low ceiling ... there have not been any cause-related reports here yet. i fly into the airport a lot using our company private aircraft and there are remote pilot-controlled lights on the runway and it's a nice airport but i don't believe it has an instrument approach glide-path so all landings are visual ... we use rhinelander when the weather is questionable so that we can catch the instrument glide path coming in ... my friend who owns the thirsty whale has a ranch that borders the airport and he heard the crash ... it seems they missed the approach but i'm sure the conclusions will be published after they conclude the report.

Eric, call me when you can. I feel the pain also. I just said goodby to my 49 year old friend on Wednesday for the last time at his funeral. The emotions are up and down every day as we deal with the losses.

Anything anytime pal, just call.

ps....The fish are rocking big time

Thanks for all of the replies everyone. I haven't had much time to get in front of the computer to say thanks until today. We are still waiting for more details on the crash so I don't know much other than what has been reported through the media. The family is getting ready for the private funeral tomorrow followed by the public memorial service at the Milwaukee Art Museum on Thursday evening so things are about to get really tough. It truly brought a much needed smile to my face to see all of your replies, prayers, and well-wishes. Thanks again fellas.
