Posts: 32886 Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | What ended up in the Frabill this weekend? We were at the Tuffy GTG, and Jason Smith boated three, Shep boated one, from the 36 to 40" class. lambeau moved a couple too, but no one fished all that much, really. Back here to shoot the Hodag awards ceremony, so no fishing for me at all this weekend. Tomorrow evening! You?

Posts: 443 Location: Duluth, MN | A great weekend. Went out on a local action lake and we got 3. Biggest was a 37.5. And today i we were up at the parents place and my son kept bugging me to go out for a couple hours even though i didn't really plan on it...so i gave in and we launched the boat and 10 minutes later he gets a 41.5 beauty. T-boned the cowgirl as you can see. Back hooks never touched the fish. Attachments ---------------- musk41a.JPG (53KB - 126 downloads) cowgirla.JPG (60KB - 123 downloads)

Posts: 1289 Location: WI | I hired a guide and learned some new spots on friday. Caught one around 39" or so about 5 casts into the trip. Also had a follow or two. All action on double 10's.

Posts: 250 | We were out on the Mad Chain this weekend. Partner put a 34 in the boat on Saturday. Then on Sunday we got a pair of 37.5's. Both caught on the figure 8, one on a Gerry's Girl and the other on an Ace Tandem. Had another fish shoot out from a weed clump, miss the bait, then proceeded to come in and tried to eat the spinnerbait twice, both times hitting the blades. Silly fish. This makes me wonder how many fish hit the blades on a spinnerbait out on the cast and we wonder why we do not get hooks into the fish. Steve Ruhmann

Posts: 1764 Location: Ogden, Ut | Had a great weekend w/ regard to numbers with 13 tigers losing the battle and ending up in the net. Friday my boys kicked butt w/ 4 fish between them and on Saturday I fished a match w/ a substitute partner and we put 9 more on the bump board (well, we really only had to measure about half of them...) The biggest fish all weekend was a 35" specimen that Dane caught. I never got out early enough to figure out if the bite for bigger fish was in the morning as the earliest I was out either day was about 10:30. On Friday, our first fish hit as I was setting our second trolling line and on Saturday, we had to wait six whole minutes to get our first fish. The bite was reasonably steady throughout the day with the exception of about a 3 hour period on Saturday when some thunderstorms came rolling through. After the main front passed, the fish turned back on and we had one stretch where we boated 4 fish in a period of 50 minutes. We've been having remarkably good luck boating fish that hit - I can only remember one rip that didn't get landed all weekend. J-13 Rapalas (rainbow trout) and Baby Depth Raiders (Perch) were the best producers. S.

Posts: 50 Location: Central Wi. | Went to Little Green on Sat. caught a 35 on a jig and shad body. That was ironic because there was 35 boats on the water by 10 AM.

Posts: 33 | Was out early on Sunday and boated two forty inchers; one on a glide bait and the other was on blades. Saw three other fish total yesterday; all in all a good day. Can't wait for October and some cooler weather.

Posts: 336 Location: Wheeling, IL. | My Friend Bruce (sportb5) and I went up to fish with Jonesie this weekend. Thought Mill Lacs was the destination, but due to the conditions and the lack of production lately, Steve opted for what he calls "Little Canada". Friday brought us a beautiful day that lead into a fantastic night. In the first half hour I boated a 35". It was pretty quiet until dusk when Bruce nailed a 43 that hit three times before hooking up. A short time later I hooked into a 42, and a 41. Bruce nailed a 37 and the last one was Joneise hooking a 40 that I lost on the turn. 6 fish in the boat in 8 hours! Unfortunately, Saturday had a cold front come in with the temps down about 17 degrees. had 5 lazy follows but no takers. All in all a fantastic trip!. Posts: 2515 Location: Waukesha & Land O Lakes, WI | We put three in the net. Two-ith by Sucker, One-ith by Muskie Treat (I need new tails Shawn! Help!). We also lost two on Suckers. Water temps were around 63-64, but I swear we're turning over. Boiling weed chunks, leaves and muck all saturday evening. Most of the cabbage I saw was dead and or dying. My gf wanted three things for her 40th b-day. 1) to see another albino deer...we #*^@ near hit an 8 pt friday night just outside Boulder Junction. 2) To catch her first musky....she got two. 3) to see a wild wolf....we drove up Thousand Island Lake rd up by the Cisco Chain sunday and got.....WOOOF. A nice big thanks to Mr Gostisha, at The Forest Country Store in Land O Lakes, for making not only carol's birthday special, but her first musky too. Thanks Mark! Posts: 2687 Location: Hayward, WI | I made it out for about three hours Saturday and Sunday evenings. Fished a dark water lake/flowage Saturday and caught a 36 on a Pacemaker just after dark. Fished a fairly clear water lake Sunday and caught a 37 on a Double Cowgirl. Snuck out tonight for just a little bit also. Had a mid 30's nip a Double Cowgirl but not get hooks in the 8 on my second cast, and had a upper 30's-40 follow the same bait but turn off when I started the 8 about 2 minutes later. Lost one small northern, and lost something else that was a decent northern or small musky. Nothing big this weekend, but I at least I've broken the no-fish-in-the-net slump I have been in for a few weeks. curleytail Attachments ---------------- 100_2087r.jpg (82KB - 115 downloads) 100_2089r.jpg (151KB - 123 downloads)

Posts: 90 | We put three in the net this morning on Enterprise, a super fat 36, a 38, and a 41.5 plus a dozen northerns, including a 32"er and 2 at around 29". All before 10 when I had to head back to Chicago. If only we could have had that kind of day on George for the tournament. All in all, 6 days hopping around Oneida County and 12 fish, including a 41.5 for the tournament.
