| WHAT! WHAT! Civil conversations!! What is this world coming to !!!!! I greatly appreiciate the professionalism of both sides of this issue, and quite frankly feel I now have a better opinion on the subject. Thanks Tom and Craig for taking the time to write on the subject and obviously making a conscious effort not to fuel any flames. Cory Painter | |||

| Then again you could fish a MN tournament where transport is illegal. www.mnmuskietournament.com Hate to say this but after looking at the WI DNR and the MN DNR and it's success with the muskie programs....I'd say that the MN DNR has made a VERY good call by eliminating ALL transport tournaments... I am still going to try to fish a WMT event. Obviously with my PMTT experience transport or not isn't an issue for me. | |||

| I only have one thing to say, Only in Wisconsin. [:blackeye:] | |||

| You lost me there Ricky... only in Wisconsin are transport tournaments allowed? Only in Wisconsin do politics play a part in wildlife management? Only in Wisconsin Worrall is allowed to make his home? Perhaps more than one thing to say would clear it up for me. Craig Eversoll | |||

| You know what I meant, no way this guy would be doing this in Mn or Canada or anywhere else. You have to give him credit for coming on here year after year, writing a lot of words but still has nothing to say. Notice how he answers the questions he would like too but keeps avoiding others like the one last year about the pike fishing after a guy registers a fish on waters with next to no pikes in them. Just look at the Madison tourneys PMTT = 129 teams WMT = 24 or so. There are other things keeping people away from the WMT but transport has got to be on top of the list. I really feel sorry for all the poor soles in WI, maybe someday the DNR will be awakened and hopefully before it is to late. Man I can't believe he actualy said that transporting fish in the hot summer days of August is better for the fish then water releases. Didn't somebody just say they saw a cooler as a livewell? Man we need to tell Crash and Tony to keep fishing in the summer and just start transporting their fish around the lake a while. Is it just me or does the PMTT take July and August off because of high water temps? Oh ya I forgot they water release and the fish do not get ogigenated during their ride in the livewell. I guess I have to buy a new boat my livewell won't even hold a legal, well maybe if I bent it in half it would help get itself ogigenated by releasing some gas. Thank god this will never happen in Canada. VIVE LE 54 POUCE. [:p] | |||

| Obviously I'm on the same page as you regarding transport tournaments but I think I'll just give it a pass on the rest of the issues except to say that you'd have to be here to understand what the WI DNR is up against. Regards, A Poor Soul in Wisconsin (and loving it) | |||

| Actually Craig, I'm not sure but I think Worrall's property is his own soverign nation due to the fact they removed his citizenship due to his purple boat and his allegiance with the MN football team. Is that boat for sale yet? | |||

| But of course how silly of me. Do you know if Worrallovia was included in NAFTA? And are there any classes available at the UPS-Madison (University of Poor Souls) on how to speak Worrallovian? You know the book "Look and Learn Worrallovian" would be a best seller. Later Craig | |||

| Everyone's probably sick of this by now but I thought I should post information that I learned yesterday that is conflict with information posted earlier in this thread. First, a DNR fishery biologist tells me that the upper layers of the lake are not oxygen depleted or poor. In fact on lakes that are experiencing algae bloom, the upper layers are actually oxygen rich during the daylight hours. The oxygen levels may decrease somewhat at night but not to a dangerous level for the fish. Second, all tournaments in Wisconsin that have more than 20 boats, 40 anglers or a purse of $500 or more are required to get a permit. Just trying to share the facts as they were given to me. Again, those on the other side of this discussion are still one of "us". Craig Eversoll | |||

| Worrall's Hideout is a fiefdom. I and the Lord of Associated Banks own the thing.[8)] | |||
