I have a Maina reel 3000MH, and i just got back from a week of fishing. the last two days it seemed like the side plate, the one without the handle/drag, was getting loose, and it made noise from there when i casted sometimes. Not sure how it comes apart to check it out, the reel diagram doesn't really show it..

just wondered if anyone else had this problem

thanks

I had the problem with my first. Had to take it apart and clean the metal shavings out of it a few times a day. I got it replaced and haven't had that problem this year so far. If you remove the plate on the right side of the reel and take the spool out, you should have access to the loose side and can possible tighten it up. I like the reel quite a bit but it could be more durable.
