I fished with Josh Borovsky for the first time on Wednesday. All I can say is he is a great guy and incredibly knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend him for anyone looking for a guide in the metro area or Vermillion. This was the first time I've fished muskie since late May, so I was a little rusty. We ended up seeing 10 fish in less than ideal conditions. I missed 2 that I definitely should have stuck. One was right at the boat and nearly cut my bulldawg in half. The other was probably a 45 incher that I raised previously that nailed my bait after 2 handle cranks but came unbuttoned. Did manage to land a fat 48 incher. I saw this fish porpoise a ways from the boat and fired a cast. Just as Josh was saying good luck, those porpoising fish rarely eat I set the hook. The pic's not very good because I can't find the camera cable, so I took a picture of the picture with another camera.

Funny, from your pic I can see the time and I got two fish in 10 min. right at the same time and got two more later that evening. I talked to you guys at the landing and that lake was on fire last week. Those were ideal conditions out there.

Is this a secret lake or can somebody tell me what lake this was on. I don't think by telling the lake that it's going to get pounded any more than usaual.

Nice work... beautiful fish. Glad you guys got a good one that day!

What LAKE??? In my experience there are 2 ways to figure that out. (1) Do the work, or (2) hire a guide.

Catch 'em!

Andy

I didn't say they were bad conditions. Just not great. We missed the storm that blew through because we took a midday break for a few hours. I had to keep my girlfriend happy. We saw most of the fish in the morning in the sun. I guess the action just exceeded my expectations.

He might be and okay guide, I just don't want his head to get to big, he highly knowledgable guide and is very informative with his clients and their expectation of their trip on what they want to learn, he is a committed musky commando! Fish were definitely on the move, and you know andy stuck one that day too as you guys watched. Next time tell him to get off the spot.

Good luck

Troyz

Let's see middle of the week contacting a lot of pure strains in the metro over 45" my guess would be Tonka for those asking other wise it's White Bear.
