| Whats better or worse to have on the lake your fishing.....Fishing pressue (boat on every spot) or Boat traffic (pleasure crafts, jet skis, etc)? Any found any techniques to use when super high pleasure crafts are out, even at night?  |

Location: Stevens Point, WI | Fishing pressure is worse. There will always be spots with fish in them when pleasure craft are churning up the water, but when all those spots with fish in them have been fished over 20 times a day they tend to produce less often. Fish shallow during the day, fish hard at night when there is a lot of traffic. Water skiers don't usually go in the rocks and weedbeds where the musky lay anyway. |

Location: Northern Wisc. | pleasure boaters and waterskiers are the worst.....no respect for other people.......Fishing pressure is not great either but with fishin pressure the fish might move off to secondary spots.....get to learn other areas where the fish are and piss off the people that are fishing the prime spots...... |

Location: oswego, il | Pleasureboaters are still more disrespectful but it sure does seem like the fisherman are catching up. Seen some pretty rude things this year far more than years previous. I will still take the pleasureboaters over pounded fish. |

That is unless you are on the Fox Chain and a 30ft Cigarette Boat comes flying by at top speed only 20ft away from you da## *&*%^$%$ &^*&*%^& Cigarette Boats

Location: Chicagoland | fishing pressure is just disturbing. the worst is when you return to a body of water that was vacant at one time and finding it swarming with fisherman. for some reason I sometimes feel like I own a fishing spot (competitiveness) and if someone else is on it or catches a fish on it, I want to approach them and scare um away. thats more on a small bass lake I hit regularly.
Pleasure boaters are pretty brutal, especially if you are in any boat smaller than 15 feet. You can almost go sufing on Pewaukee when those 25 foot cigarette boats go zooming by. |

| one thing i noticed is when there are alot of pleasueres on the lake, i never get follows or catch anything. the 2xs/year the lake is quiet because of huge wind or something like that i actually see or maybe catch a fish! |

Location: minocqua, wi. | WMT Tournament on a July weekend filled with jetskis, pontoons etc ... so, overwhelming pressure from both ... fish don't care, oh and it's a "resort-chain" so don't fish it ... lol ... it's all in your head. mind over matter ... relax and enjoy regardless what's coming at you ... it's all in the power of zen ...

| I actually caught one of my better muskies in the wake of a pontoon boat that almost ran over the lure that I had just cast. I twitched it once and thought that the boat had my line wrapped on the prop, but it was a four foot fish. It went airborn, and they immediately threw out their anchor and started casting. They didn't have any success because they dropped their anchor right on top of a milfoil covered bar in 2 or 3 feet of water, while I netted and released the fish about 25 yards a way in 18' of water.
I also caught a fish that was 49 3/4" just 30 minutes after a floatilla of PMT tourney boats got done fishing for 2 1/2 days on the lake where I was staying.
Guess pressure shouldn't bother me, but it does.

Location: oswego, il | I had a fish smack my bait right after a lady in a pontoon pimped me by telling me that was her dock in front of me. She just kept going. I had to laugh at that one. A minute later I had one try to eat.
If you have ever fished shabazoo, it's one of the most pressured lakes anywhere. I had my kids out there for the first time in june and had this guy go past me 20' behind me then do circles 20' in front of me to find a crib at which time he tossed, big splash, his anchor. I got a phone call about then from a buddy who was asking about the day so I am 10ft from his boat talking loud enough so he can hear me bad mouth him. Was funny. I warned my kids before hand we will see some complete morons out here. If you ever want to see the absolute worst fishing ediquette in the world, try shabazoo. |

| I caught my first musky the day before the 4th of July, on a lake that is underfished for muskies. There were alot of pleasure boaters, and a few fishermen, and only 1 was fishing muskies. So, I would rather have recreational guys than fishing pressure. |

Ok ,Fishing pressure is worse than jet skies or boaters , because non stop baits in the face of huge fish is more distracting than a 2-3 second jet ski or tubers IMHI . Muskie fishing is fun , right....?????.... Sheeesh.... 5:30 comes way to early...
