What causes Pete Mania reels to grind when casting? They don't do it all the time. When they do grind the casting distance is cut in half.

Clean-soak the spool bearings and reoil them, and reoil-grease the worm gear. If reel is new take it back to PRO BASS.

your not pusing the thumb bar all the way down. The mania reel thumb bar hangs in the middle. make sure to push it down all the way and you wont have any issues with grinding
