I bought a new SS prop that is 1/4 inch larger in diameter than the one that it replaced. The tip of the prop is only about 1/4 inch away from the anode. Is this enough clearance? or is it too close? The Previous prop was about 1/2 inch away from the anode.

Thanks,
Grass

The best way to find out is to "RUN IT", I dont think there will be a problem unless you have a bad bearing on the prop shaft.

I ran the new prop last night and it did not hit the anode, but I was not happy with the perf of the new ss prop.

Thanks,

I know the feeling. I bought a really nice looking SS prop last summer thinking the boat was really going to pick up some speed (same measurements as the aluminum one I had). Boy was I wrong and disappointed. That prop ran like the hub was spun. Way too many RPM's...sold it quickly.

Good luck!
