I think we got you one heck of an image. I netted the fish and took the pic, while Steve Worrall was able to stick some steel to this high 30, low 40 inch fish tonight on a Weagle. Now only if the batteries hadn't died on the hat cam, doh.

We got that image for you we discussed this morning, I think. Thanks for the camera work, TJ, and nice job netting that errant fish.
She sucked in a Weagle like a bluegill a few feet from the boat, and on the hookset ran right dead center into the trolling motor. The line hooked up on the bow eye rope and the trolling motor, but I could see the fish was REALLY well pinned up. TJ lifted the motor, unsnagged the line, and the battle was on. TJ netted and unhooked her, and got the camera as I grabbed her tail and pointed her towards the hoop edge. She left soaking me completely, and TJ got the picture as she headed out. One half second later, the image would have been a huge splash and me dripping wet.
I'll remember that one for a few years, I bet.
Word to the wise...when charging batteries for your helmet camera, make sure they are in the charger properly. |
