Hi,
I'll be heading up to the Ottawa River next weekend and was wondering whether anyone had any information. We'll be staying around Deep River, well upstream from the most noted stretches of the river, and some of our time will be on back lakes in the area, but I've got to believe that the biggest fish around are in the river, either above or below the dam...

Is anyone familiar with this area who would be willing to share a little info on locations, presentations, or even current conditions? I'd certainly appreciate any help you might be able to provide.

Thanks.

Randy

OK, it seems this isn't a piece of water that board members fish very often--or maybe at all. Does anyone know any guides on the river? Any info would help... Thanks.

There are several guides on the Ottawa: Marc Thorpe, Richard Collins, Mike Lazarus. Run a Google search on "Ottawa River muskie guides" and you'll find several others out there. Also, don't underestimate the stretches ABOVE Deep River. They may not be "noted" for good reason...
