I'am looking at getting the 6'10" jerkbait rod model #MUR826C-JB
just wondering if anyone uses this rod and what do you think of it.
I'd like some feedback before i spend 270 bucks on it. Thanks Guys

Wife got me a 7'10 for X Mas and I love it. She got it through Thorne Bros for $238 and change shipped.

I love loomis rods, I have a GLX bass rod and 8ft steel musky stick. But, if I were you, and I was recently, I'd be calling lonnie at thorne brothers and I'd get one of the few remaining original diamondback jerkbait blanks built. The diamondback, IMO, always built the best jerkbait blank, its VERY LIGHT and its not too stiff where you gonna lose fish boatside. I think you can get one built custom for under $300. This way you choose the handle length and style, foregrip, rod length, guides and cork or syncork. I even ordered mine with a cool screw down foregrip/reel seat.

Good luck

I have used the 6'10" GLoomis for a little over a year.....it works great for jerkbaits and walk the dog topwaters.....I also have the 7'7" Heavy Bucktail I use for the bigger bucktails.....no issues what so ever.....really nice rods.
