Hi All:

Just wondering what you guys use for storing your rods in the garage? do you use a ceiling mount to get them out of the way? did you buy something or made it yourself? any pics. would be greatly appreciated as I need to do something fast, my fishing rods are a mess!!!!

thanks a bunch!!!

I made one out of 2"X2"s and Pvc. Supports rods in 3 spots, can be mounted on wall horizontally or ceiling, and was cheap to make (less than 15 bones). It's adjustable and holds rods of any size and has spots for as many rods as you have pvc for. No pics now, out of town for a week will post some later.

I use the bike rack hooks for mine. Keeps them out of the way, and you can put a ton of them up there by putting them opposing directions. Makes it easy to get them down as well when I need to grab certain rods (ie, if I'm trolling, casting, Lake Michigan, etc). Bad thing is, when the wife looks in the garage, she sees how many set ups I have.

Joel- You need same -> don't ask, don't tell agreement I have with my wife. She doesn't ask about my fishing gear obsession, and I don't ask about her obsession with stones mounted in gold, silver & platinum.

Yeah, yeah, I know she's way ahead of me!

Have fun!

Geez Al, I'd say your wife is a bit ahead too. Not only does she have a 1/2 tackle boxes value in one little piece, the resale value isn't going down!!

Here is what I use in my garage to store rods, its right above my boat, so I just jump in the boat, reach for the rods I want and go fishing.
