Subject: bump board question


i have been trying to make a bump board. does anyone know a good way to hinge both bump board pieces together? how does dunwright hinge them together so you can fold both pieces?

I would just spend the $50 to avoid the 48"=50" homemade bump board critique if it happens to be in the background of you holding a reported 50"! I figure my time is worth at least $15/hour, material + the cost of gas for 3 trips to get it, and the Paramedic trip due to me using a saw would outweigh the cost!! My Dunright markings have blurred, but they are still good over 48"!!

I just bought a pair of small cupboard hinges from Menards. When the board is laid on a hard surface it will not lay completely flat due to the hinges but the boat carpeting has enough cushion that on the deck of the boat it lays flat with no problems.

I have one made by Dunwright and I love it. It folds up and stores out of the way.
Now I have a floating measure and don't take them out of the water unless its hooked real bad or is a real Pig.
