The bite seems to have slowed a little bit here, maybe it has something to do with really high water temps close to 80. We are finding a few fish in trees, but there seems to be a large number of fish just hanging out in the middle of nowhere, up on little shelves where it is 4 feet deep instead of 6 feet like the rest of the flowage. This is new, as we have never seen fish there before. Our last few fish have come from places we've fished over in years past and never saw one until now. Anyone else seeing a similar pattern on the river?

Not sure what flowage you've been fishing, but the bite has really picked up in the Wausau area. A ton more big fish encounters and most of the fish have been stupid shallow. There is traditionally a great deep water bite here, but I have not seen it evolve yet.
