| I bought a trinidad 14 reel over the winter and was told that 80lb power pro would be best to use for double 10 and double 13 bucktails. I fished a few hours with it recently and had a few backlashes and 2 breakoffs. What type and size of line would work best in this situation? I am thinking of using 80lb masterbraid. |

Location: On the X that marks the mucky spot | I'm using 100# Tuff XP and haven't had any issues. You have to break it in since it has a coating, but it seems to work for me on my 16N. |

| I use 120 pound Masterbraid on my Trinidad 12 and no issues. Your problem is caused by not having the tension set right for the lure you have on. You need to adjust it for other lures like any other reel. This is a limited application reel since it has no line guide so it is best for straight retrieve lures like bucktails and topwaters. |

Location: NYC (and many weeks in MN during summer) | I had pat from thorne bros. put 80lb invisibraid on my 14, two days ago. When I was there, he said he was now using it too. I threw it all day yesterday without any problems at all. The silver nob on the right side of your reel sets the casting tension. You need to set that each time you have a bait that is a very different weight from the one you are replacing.
I was amazed how well this reel performed burning cowgirls, super cowgirls, big mamas and the esox cobra viper spinnerbait. When slow rolling it feels like your pulling a mepps.
