| Beacause I`m a make-it-yourself kinda guy..... arrows,bullets,jigs,bucktails,etc.....and I have an airbrush, I ordered a bunch of do it yourself Reef Hawg kits. Now I need input from you guys. I`ve done several of them already, all in patterns that aren`t available...If you could pick a color pattern or scheme to create your own, what would it be? Interested in seeing what others think are fish catchers. I remember somebody saying pink was their favorite. Was that all pink or that pink and grey thing that they make? Free the artist in yourself and express your views. Beaver
Who knows, this could turn into a "Sponge-Bob" thing where the guy who comes up with the best color will get a custom painted Hawg of his own. |

| black top, blue metalic bottom

|

|
| how about a black basew/flo-green sparkle perch pattern[:p] |
|
| |
|
| Belly up perch. orange on top so you can see the bait
or....
a sponge bob pattern bait........ |

|
| Garder Snake,as I seen one get hammered by a ski/maybe pikis? Black lenght wise strips with yellow/flo green and big red beadie eyes!I think would be excellent colors for a hawg with the ZIG/ZAG thing go`in on!If you ever make that color,I`ll be your testor! One other critter I see get hammered is baby swallows that fall out of nests!Check out those patterns too! Good paint`in! Jeff [:p] |

| Beav,
One of the neatest custom colors I have seen is one the "artist" calls bloody skunk. Ask Warehouse or kjd. He painted a believer or a swimwhiz, I forget, in this color. Also partial to most any bright color with black spots, imagine a sucker grown in a nuclear plant's cooling pools, and that has somehow gotten ebola, now your getting the hang of it!! |

| Beaver,
I would like to see salamander colors, like black with either yellow or red round salamander spots. Or an orange bottom, white top with black tiger stripes.

|
| So far I`m digging the garder snake idea. Never see many length-wise stripes on baits. Lots of cool ideas, keep `em coming. Beav |

|
| I would like to see a carp color on a bait. Baby carp should make an easy meal for a hungry musky.
Second would be that color changing paint depending on the way the light hits it. That would look pretty cool, but it is kind of expensive. |

| Here is a different one - it's a modified jailbird pattern. Instead of black stripes on yellow, how about black stripes on flourescent orange. Make sure the stripes go ALL the way around the bait for maximum contrast effect.

| I made one that is kind of carpish....it has metalic amber bottom, metalic orange sides, metalic brown top that kind of overlaps the orange with some gold flake added. Looks almost like a goldfish. Some of these ideas are great, I might have to order more kits. |

|
| -----The "Seminole"- garnet top/sides blending into a gold belly, maybe a little scale on the sides.....
-----Purple Haze- Dark purple top blending lighter sides to a pinkish/blue white belly.
-----Love to see one w/ a swirl pattern from head to tail somewhat like an all day sucker used to look like; blue, green, red, orange, yellow, etc. If you can do one in your spare time I'll be happy to pay you for it..... I can put hooks on it later for little sponge![:sun:] |

|
| How about Yellowbelly Bullhead.Kind of a chartreusebelly with a greennish brown back and maybe few (firetiger type)black stripes to added color. This color has caught three small musky for me this year one a Bagleys and couple on a swim whiz. It's a natural color for me in Grinner Country.Ever caught a bullhead? They always seem to be laughing when you get one.IMHO OK Dennis Blume |

|
| Hi,
I heard about some baits being painted on their side. The dark usually on top would be on the side of the bait. Making it look like it was rolling or fighting to swim upright. I guess they didn't sell very well so it was back to the traditional way of painting them.
Good luck,
Brian
