Does anyone have any thoughts on whether a 54" trolling motor shaft will keep the prop submersed in rough water? Thanks guys.

get the 60" shaft...54" is too short for that boat...imo. I have a simliar boat and there are days I wish they made a 70" shaft!

I agree. I've had a couple of 54''s on smaller boats than a 620 and at times I found myself needing a longer one. But that was just a couple extremely rough water situations that I needed a longer shaft. The 620 is a much bigger boat, you want the 60".
