Ok, VHS means suckers will be hard to get and you can't catch bait (suckers, bullheads) anywhere besides the water you are fishing. No transport from lake to lake. Well, check out this idea on how to have FREE bullheads waiting for you at the lake you are going to fish.

Get a few 20" pieces of 8" PVC pipe and paint them like a lake bottom looks. Weight each pipe with a straight line of bolts/nuts spaced a couple inches apart. Cap one end but drill lots and lots of holes in the cap. Leave the other end open but drill a small hole thru the pipe wall 1" from the open end. Tie a length of light nylon rope from the drilled hole at the open end to a 2" length of floating foam cut from one those noodle floats kids use at the beach. The foam float should not reach the surface, rather, it should suspend about 12" from the surface. GPS each drop site. When you go back to that lake, find a tube, reach down, grab the float and pull up hand over hand as fast as you can. Flip the tube into your boat and introduce yourself to a perky bullhead that uses the tube to hide duriung daylight hours.

Hmmmmm...what do you think? Crazy? Illegal? Typical of me?
