Location: New London, Wisconsin | The battery meter that is built in on my Minn Kota is not accurate at all. When the battery is fully charged (verified by my volt meter at 12.65 +/-) and I push the little battery meter button it only reads 3/4 charged. Any way to fix these things? Not a huge deal it just bugs me that it doesn't work right. I do get a proper reading on the bow mounted locator but still, it bothers me when things don't work correctly.
Thanks,

Location: Hayward, WI | That's how I thought mine was too until I really made sure both of my batteries had a full charge. Looks like I was only getting most of a full charge from my charger. Once I left them both on the charger longer, it registered a full charge.
It doesn't stay full too long, but that might be because my batteries are 4-5 years old. I would also say battery meters like this are known to be somewhat inaccurate.

| Same on my PD55. Only lights 4 when it is on the charger!!!! I am knot one to fish 12 hours, using it all the time. I will troll using the Honda. This deep cycle is 2 years old and am looking to replace it with a deep cycle Deka, in the nest year. Finally got an agm for the starting, lights and 520's. Don't go to an auto battery dealer for a marine battery, I found that out. Actually found the agm locally and did nat have to wait. Made a few phone calls, should have done it 2 weeks earlier and saved a headache. |

| If you want to accurately check your batteries, use a Hydrometer. |
