Posts: 552 Location: WI | Fiance and I raised 3 and saw three others. Fish seemed to cruising the deep weed edges, at least on the water we were fishing.

Posts: 331 Location: Stevens Point, Wisconsin | Fished Rollie and Helens tournament Saturday. Partner caught a 37 1/4 on a baby shallow raider and I lost a 38-40 boat side (might have won the tournament) on a baby raider also. We moved about 4 other fish that day. Seemed like a good window between 10 am and 11am. Several lost fish reported by anglers and several undersized fish caught as well. Total of 5 fish caught during the tournament 31 boats. First place team doubled with I think a 371/2 and 381/2. Second place was a 39 inch fish and we came in third with the 371/4. 4th place was a 35 inch fish. Fish on our lake were relating to the first weed break in about 10 feet of water. Water temps were at about 63 the high winds made boat control fun. Sorry for the profanity on the water for those that might have been within ear shot after I lost my fish. LOL Ed

Location: Athens, Ohio | I casted Salt Fork Lake Saturday. Good stiff breeze turned into a gale and storm later in the day. Only fish i saw was a 40 to mid-40's, dead on the bank with three buzzards picking it apart. Water temps went from 79-81*, looks like I'm done with the reservoirs for the summer! m

Posts: 1764 Location: Ogden, Ut | Lots of lookers, a couple that missed and a couple that hit and didn't get hooked. Going out today w/ my boys in hopes of getting something that will cause me to amend this report... S. Well, we did get a few fish to cooperate. We put 2 in the net, but I screwed up a couple others - not used to them actually hitting I guess. Today they decided that eating the WA Baby Wabull was finally better than just following. Here's a pic of the bigger of the two. Edited by sorenson 6/9/2008 3:22 PM Attachments ---------------- June0908.jpg (124KB - 117 downloads)

Posts: 897 | Well... Friday night, trolling motor problems cut the night short. Saturday night, fishing new water with a newbie in the boat, didn't see squat but a beautiful night to be on the water. Sunday, went to a lake I know very well, moved a bunch (~10) of fish between 16 and 30 inches. Only musky that bit was around 9:20pm last night on a Doc, didn't get a good hookset, fought it for probably 20-30 seconds and it got off. Felt like a decent fish, buddy saw it's back a ways out and said it looked like a low 40's. Stupid fish. Seems like the bigger fish around here might be in post-spawn mode considering the dink/biggie ratio people are seeing. Edited by whynot 6/9/2008 11:30 AM

Posts: 96 | Pretty slow on Tonka. We had 2 lazy follows on the deep weed edge. I have a 5 days on ML at the end of the week so hopefully I can put something together there. Never spent much time ski fishing on the pond so it'll be interesting.

Posts: 785 | Awsome weekend... My mother who's been somewhat bumbed out about not having any fish yet this season just broke her slump in a big way. She kicked our butts sat. with 3 fish, a 37.5, 38.5, and a 42 that tied her personnal best. I hooked and lost about a 38, and had an aggressive follow from a 40. Sun. we went to a different lake and it was slow, I had a follow from a 41 pure. My other fishing partner had about a 43 pure bump his bait with its nose but no take. Went back to the first lake in the P.M. but nothing moving. Fun none the less. Posts: 311 | I had a great weekend, my 9 year-old son caught his first muskie, a 36"er at 9:30 Friday night fishing off his Grandparent's pier. He was screaming like he was hurt, ran down and forgot the camera, went back to get the camera and he already put it back, but we did get a release shot. Fished all day Sunday and only had action in a 2.5 hour period. Very frustrating day until 5:30 that evening, then we started to have a "GREAT" day.

Location: Lake Tomahawk, WI | Not a good weekend as far as muskies go. I guess it started late last week(Wed - Fri), with 2 giants lost, one taking a mag dawg and 12 inch leader down and biting off (not my set-up, but a buddy's), another busting off on a Dawg over open water. Had a buddy's sister out trying for her first muskie, and well, things didn't work out on that one. She said she was snagged and tried to muscle it out while I'm watching the rod buck like crazy.... We have some big fish moving, mixing some things up, tweeked some stuff and it's working so far. Fished bass and pans with the nephews over the weekend, did great, had a ball. The crew didn't fair well on the ski's, with few fish seen and none caught. Weather looked good, too. Seen it before, they hammer like crazy over a moon phase and then back off. Oh well, lots of moon phases this summer. That's one ugly fish, Sorno. JS

Posts: 3518 Location: north central wisconsin | The Consolidated Musky Club held our annual June outing north of Minoqua this past weekend(anglers could fish wherever they chose). While the big fish were not moving for us as they had been, a fair number of fish were boated and seen. A 47.5"er was the biggest of the 20 anglers, caught on a Topraider by a first time Musky angler(don't have his name off hand). 2nd place went to a 43"er caught by Jeff Walczak. We boated 4 muskies, though nothing huge. My partner Greg Peterson ended up with 3rd place with a 38" on an AC-10 spinner that he makes. Those baits were particularily hot for us. Lost a couple fish on 8's, and also lost a bunch of hair that blew off in the wind. A big thanks to Heart II bar and grill for allowing us to hold our outing with them, and also for the donation of the clock and sweatshirt that we raffled off with the beautifully engraved Musky rod rack that Gregs wife Jen made. Also a thank you to the folks at the Ding-a-Ling bar and grill in Mercer for their great service to members as well. Edited by Reef Hawg 6/9/2008 9:17 PM

Posts: 103 | Saturday I lost a 30 inch fish and had another small follow. Sunday I had a high 30 inch fish follow in 3 different lures but would not bite. Went out today and had 2 smaller follows and caught my personal best Musky, a 45 incher that t-boned a Regular Bull Dawg over 25 feet of water. Luckily I had the tripod with to get a picture.
