Posts: 262 | with all the pressure these days to go green I wanted to do my part. While I'm not going to line my house with fluorescent lights or try to pull the boat with a prius, I really want to catch a HYBRID this year. ok poor joke attempt aside I really would like to get one this year. Anybody have any sugestions for high percentage tiger lakes in WI. I don't catch a pile of fish so I'm looking for lakes that If I was to stick a fish there is a good chance it might be a hybrid. I know that I could read thru a bunch of stocking reports, but with two small kids I barley get time to fish let alone try to figure out were to go, so yes I admit it I'm looking for the easy way out on this one. Please don't bash me to hard thanks guys

Posts: 2515 Location: Waukesha & Land O Lakes, WI | Dude, you can get a hybrid and in doing so, go green....and white..and brownish. We catch a bunch on Palmer, but have also done pretty well on LVD and Big Lake of the Cisco Chain

Posts: 170 Location: Chicagoland | Big Sand Lake in Phelps just north of North Twin has some big tigers with 20 pounders reported mostly every year. I've boated a mid 30's there and hooked a few more.

Location: Lake Tomahawk, WI | Chippewa Flowage is where I would go for a big tiger. I've caught 3 off the Minocqua Chain, all mid/upper 30 inch fish and suspended. Know of a few 30lb'rs off the chain as well. Flambeau Chain also has some real beauties. Catching a nice tiger is not an every day or even an every year occurance up here, which is what makes it such a special occasion when one is caught. JS

Posts: 785 | I realize its kindof a drive but if your main goal is to stick a tiger you may want to look into one of the Minneapolis Metro tiger lakes. On those lakes any fish you catch WILL be a tiger. Makes it a lot easier than trying for a natural one. I think almost all of them are less than 700 acres so fish location isn't all that difficult.
